dare to be you

Dare to Be You is a family-strengthening program for families with young children between 2 and 5 years old. Dare to Be You is a research based, "best model" program that helps parents and children improve self-esteem, discipline methods and development of children. Dare To Be You is held for 12 weeks. All children in the family are invited to attend with parents. Free meals are provided. The sessions are 2 1/2 hours long for both parents and children along with time for parent and child interaction. Graduating families receive an incentive upon completion of the program. Programs for families are available throughout Coos County.

strengthening families

Strengthening Families is a program for parents with children between the ages of 10 and 14. It is also a "best model" program proven to be effective in improving family relationships, communication and discipline. video based, Strengthening Families brings all members of a familly together for a meal, one hour seperate parent and youth educational sessions and then one hour of "together" family time. It is seven weeks long and is available annually in three communities in Coos County.
