about the community substance abuse & prevention program

Individuals and community agencies working together as coalitions in Coos County and Northern Grafton County to develop and implement substance abuse and tobacco use prevention activities. Funded by the DHHS Statewide Incentive Grant (SIG) and the NH Tobacco Prevention Program, the coalitions' activities include:
  • tobacco prevention programs for youth and pregnant women;
  • parent education for families with young children;
  • support for Student Assistance Programs in local schools;
  • assistance to schools in substance abuse prevention efforts; and
  • alternatives for youth through community action.
